Fitting is for use with stripped cable.

The sleeve oval is most commonly used in conjunction with the thimble. The sleeve oval keeps the cable looped around the thimble once the sleeve oval has been crimped onto the stripped cable.

The 3/16" oval sleeve did not fit the 3/16" coated wire that I recieved. I can not get the wire to go into the oval sleeve so that I can use it.

Service & Delivery comments:

Service was great and delivery was fast. I got all that I ordered in a timely fashion.

SPORTSMITH Response: Cable is manufactured with a nylon coating around the wire rope. Cable fittings require that the cable be stripped (meaning the nylon coating removed) in order for the fitting to be crimped onto the cable. It is important that you make note whether the diameter you measured includes the nylon coating.

the description was for a 1/4 and 3/16 oval sleeve
so when I click on it. They sent me the 3/16 sleeve and I needed the 1/4 sleeve. Cause the rest of my order was for a 1/4. Every thing in my order should have been for a 1/4 in cable. Next time pay close attention to what is being received.
