Comments about Pilot Monitor For Revmaster Bikes:

The design of these causes them to break when the bikes are moved regularly. In our facility we have continually replaced them because of the plastic housing breaking from the mounting hardware and they cannot be repaired. Never buying a LeMond bike again for our spin classes unless they change this design.

SPORTSMITH Response: “The housing of the Pilot display that is mounted on the handlebar typically breaks when people attempt to adjust the display too far beyond the range of rotation between the display and the clamp.

This can be alleviated by adjusting the placement of the clamp on the handlebar.

When the display is mounted on the handlebar, the installer should lower the seat completely and pull the display to its most forward position.

If the display cannot be seen completely while in this position, the clamp of the display should be rotated forward on the handlebar until the display can easily be seen.

This location of the display will also a allow rider who is standing up on the RevMaster to see the display when it is pushed all the way back.”

“It should also be noted that the Pilot display is in no way designed to act as a handle when moving the bikes.

There is plenty of surface area on the rest of the handlebar for people to grab onto when relocating the RevMaster.

If someone pushes or pulls the display beyond its range of rotation or hits the display against an object while moving the bikes it is possible to crack the housing and this will not be covered under warranty.

When the Pilot is installed and used correctly on the RevMaster it will last for many years.”
