Comments about Transmission Assembly, Climbmax/Tectrix:

Purchased this Pre-assembled transmission for my old Climbmax 150 rather than purhcase separate tramission parts and maybe miss something. Turns out one of the clutches, (inside next to sproket), had been installed backward. In other words, the clutch would release on what should have been the power stroke. Should have checked the operation of each clutch before installation of the transmission assembly in the machine. Oh well, never assume anything. When I dis-assembled the transmission, reversed the clutch and installed the re-assembled transmission, along with new pillow block bearing on drive side and new chain, operation is like new: quite and smooth. May have gotten anther 10 years out of the machine but time will tell before something else fails but it won't be thess parts. I would definitely recommend this part to those very few of you who still have Climbmax 150s but Please check the orientation of the clutches before you install the part in your machine!
