This bottom bracket tool is for use with the ISIS drive (International Splined Interface System) style bottom brackets that have the round splined shaft.

I also had to use a bolt to hold the tool in place. However, this is probably the EASIEST way to use the tool anyway. I just used the bottom bracket crank bolt to hold the tool in place. Works like a charm!

This tool works but trying to keep it in place and twist the nut off it kept spinning off. We finally rigged up a bolt and washer to hold the tool in place and were able to twist the nut off. Without them all we were doing was slipping and stripping out the grooves the tool fit into. The manufacturer of this tool should actually try it out on a bike that has been torqued out at a factory, somewhat tight and difficult. Shouldn't have to devise a way to make the tool work.
