Plate sleeves of bar must be 2� in order for collars to be a proper and snug fit.

Awesome product. I had the plastic ones for many years, but I lost them somehow. I was happy to see that the steel collars are made to exacting standards. Ironically, if I would'nt have bought them I would have never known that the olympic bar that I purchased was defective. One end of the bar was 1.5mm larger than the other. I barely got the clip off. I returned the bar and bought a top grage powerlifting bar which I have used in the past. I know that I won't have any trouble with the new bar.

These seem much more durable than the plastic ones I have used in the past. Even though they add extra weight, I am hoping their heavy-duty construction will help them last a lot longer.
Have bought from this vendor before and feel that they are to be trusted.
