I have an old TSA universal gym that I use quite a lot, in spite of the low cost, and when I broke one of the original cables, I discovered that part of the reason why was due to a pulley that was worn out and dragging badly. At the time I just swapped a pulley from another less-used place, but it had gotten noticeable worse recently. That's when I found these pulleys. Initially I have ordered 5 to hit the main points, but now that I have them installed, I will be ordering the rest of them within a week. They were a perfect fit, they are well made, and they are very smooth. They are built way stronger and tougher than the rubbish the machine came with, and this upgrade will turn a cheapie home gym into something well worth using.
The only "complaint" if it can really be called that is that I'm replacing 3" pulleys with 3.5" pulleys. While this will undoubtedly change the weight distribution, it won't be by much, and I don't ever think of it in terms of pounds anyway - for me it's number of plates and what kind of burn I'm getting.
For anyone in the same boat as me with stuttering, dragging original cheapo pulleys that came with their budget level home gym, do yourself a favor and pick these up. They are not terribly expensive and It completely changes the workout experience by turning it into a smooth, quiet, professional equipment kind of feeling.

We bought a very nice used fitness machine that had cheap plastic pulleys that skipped & stuttered like rubbish. (That's why the seller was getting rid of it.)
These pulleys made the machine work better than new and they were 1/3 the price of comparables.
Sportsmith delivered them lightning quick at basic shipping costs.
