I have only one issue that should be mentioned. I ordered from you during a free shipping day. FedEx reported that it was delivered to my front porch on Feb. 20. I knew that it had not been delivered. When I contacted SportSmith, I was told that it was not their problem and I should take it up with FedEx. First, I am not the one who contracted with FedEx; SportSmith did. Some follow through on your part would be good. Second, it took me four calls to the FedEx national office and four calls with the driver to get the problem resolved. The driver had delivered the product to a house number on Todd Drive, whereas I live on Todd Cirlce. I finally got the product exactly one week late. This is not a serious problem; everyone was polite and responsible, and I received what I ordered. I just think that SportSmith should stay involved while the isue is resolved.--Burgess Shriver [@]

I have a standing desk at work and I've incorportated this excercise into my daily routine. I simply stand on it and balance while I work for about 30-60 minutes a day. Noticable improvement in balance after a single day of using it.
Things that would make it better:
- Some padding on the surface to make it easier on the feet.
- Detachable/adjustable degrees of difficulty.
Delivered on time in perfect condition.

I started a regimen of bike riding and some beginning weights, but it wasn't doing much for my balance. My Chiropractor recommended a balance board to help and demonstrated a simple exercise to start with. It has helped me in many small ways - I had developed a lumbering walk, now I walk more normally. I don't have the sensation of being ready to tip over easily. My husband even likes to use it. We keep it in the kitchen where there is linoleum and it's handy to use. We tip it up against the wall when not in use. It's probably obvious but you do need to use it on a hard smooth floor - it doesn't work on carpeting.
The deck is made of very dense particle board and covered with a non-skid top, the "ball" underneath looks like it was made from butcher block. The whole thing feels firm and sturdy, like it will last a long time.

Product is not actually made from solid wood but rather from dense fiber board.
